Thanks Maky, those files really jogged my memory. I wonder if anyone has worked out the correct answers for the reading section yet?

I did them in order of easiest to hardest, so I only had 5 minutes left for the first question and had to guess them. Based on the files Maky posted, my answers were:

Does anyone have the moji and goi section, like those jpgs of the reading? I tried to search the site they came from but couldn't work out the Chinese kanji!

The ones I'm sure I got wrong from that section are

It should be "sakarau", to disobey.
The second one is correct. Uchikesu means "to deny".
Ayamakasu means "to spoil", but you seem to realize it now.
I forgot what I put for that ittan. It means "one more time" though.
After that is darashinai, which roughly means "sloppy".
Oops, this should be hanahadashi.
The answer to the last one was kawatta, which means weird.

I guess I misunderstood that 命令　one, I took it to mean,
Such a person, I can't respect their orders!

I didn't feel too bad about the rest of them, but these were the ones that stuck in my head and I knew I was wrong as soon as I checked my 電子辞書　くやしかった！ The thing that bugged me was I went against my instincts with the 甘やかす　one.

From this I know that the absolute best mark I could get in this section is 89%, but I'd love to see a copy of all the 文字　語彙　questions so I can confirm the ones I actually got right! Let me know if you find one...

Jonathan Thanks for those links. I've worked out that my worst case scenario for the first paper should be no less than 69%. That's not particularly good considering I got a similar score at the same level last year

Just curious, are these electronic versions of the test legal and legitimately obtained? I respect the test and the process it goes through, and wouldn't want to find some sort of "stolen" or "leaked" test or answers.

well, they're as legal as all the other past tests on jlpt.info or elsewhere. If you want a 100% clear conscience you can wait for the printed (legal) version to appear at your local bookstore.

what did you guys put for 問題１の７番 of the listening section?

I thought it said something like square with a square on top is what normally happens but in this area only it's the circle with a square on top variety.

depending on what happens with the reading section, there is a definite chance that i failed it. as far as the scoring, i did worse case scenario, if i didn't remember what i put i marked it wrong. the scores are as follows:

kanji/vocab: 31/65
listening: 22/27
reading/grammar: ??/21; 16/35

longwood In the first paper, kanji Qs are only worth 1 mark. The vocab ones are worth 2.

So kanji section has a total of 40 marks and the other part 50 marks giving you a total out of 90.

Nevermind, it's working now.
Only a 55 on the reading section
But I'm pretty certain I got over 80 percent on all the other sections.

thanks for the site. ok now with an updated (possible) score:

kanji/vocab: 30/40; 11/25 = 57.78
listening: 22/27 = 81.48
reading/grammar: 11/21; 16/35 = 99.43

total score: 238.69

so if i remembered correctly and actually got the questions that i didn't remember wrong then i failed... so close

I'd prefer just to wait for the official results

Because, in the end, nothing we come up with will change the score that will be given to us. besides, it's so much more exciting to wait for two months to have any idea how I did (beyond my experience of the test at the time of taking it).

Looking forward to good results, but time will tell!
